5 x 10 oil on Masonite - Landscape Abstract
I had been wanting to do something of an abstract, so here is it. It just feels good to loosen up and play with paint from time to time.

Halloween Candy

Still life of halloween candy.
4x6 Canvas

I painted for the first time in a few days. Since my water damage it has been rather unsettling. But now, I am back painting. I purchased a new camera by sony today. So far I seem to like it ok.

When it Rains it Pours

Well, my camera finally stopped working. This means I can't take pictures of my artwork and put them on my blog. I am going to look for a replacement camera this week.

Between the house having bad water damage and my camera, I hope this is the last episode of bad luck. This is getting a bit stressing to say the least.

OOS for a few days

Out of Studio -

I will be absent from posting over the next few days. We've had water damage to our home due to outside drain pipe blockage. Meanwhile I will be dealing with floor repair/replace, restoration and insurance companies to resolve this problem as quickly as possible.

Thank you

Orchids & Clementines

This is a miniature of a larger still life I painted for an artists show. This little painting was painted for a very special person in mind. It represents purity, long life and joy in his journey.

Good Morning Monday to the world. I paint on the weekends but don't like to do much computer work. So, I will not be posting much if at all on those days.

Becky's Jingle Bob

5x7 Oil on Canvas

This is my sisters spur rightfully named Becky's Jingle Bob. The Jingle Bob is the small metal thing that hangs down and clinks back and forth on the round burr making sounds as the cowboy or cowgirl walks. I arranged this spur on the table to paint it. Unbeknownst to me, I placed the spur upside down. After I finished the painting I realized the spur was upside down. Aww well, I enjoyed painting it just the same.

It's Friday, have a greet weekend. Don't forget to stop in next week to see what I'm painting.

Blackeyed Susan

I may have gotten the name of this flower wrong. These grow wild here in Texas. I picked this out of my back yard where I let one plant grow because I liked them.

This is an old wall pocket used to hold pencils or flowers. I am just a bit sentimental. Who would have guessed!

Barn in the Sierra's

Small painting on gessoed card.
2 1/2 x 3 1/2

After the Plein Air Papa event summer 05 in Lake Tahoe Nevada we took a drive up out of the way. Now, asking me what the name of the town is I dont remember. Anyway, Betty Billups a wonderful plein air painter told me about this little town. At a later date I will call and ask her what town that was.
